Fitness with Fran

Yesterday, our student teacher Fran took us out for fitness. We had to move like animals. We were cheetahs, elephants, horses and hamsters! Afterwards, we had to think about the activity to see if it was fun, was safe, was easy and made us puffed. We rated the activity according to these aspects. Today, we are completing another relay-type fitness game and we will use the same sort of thinking to evaluate the game. At the end of the week, we will have some information to share about our fitness for the week!

We have displayed our flowers made using recycled materials on the fence on the back field. The bright colours we used were inspired by flowers in real life - their bright colours attract bees and other insects to them so pollination can occur. Our plastic bottle flowers don't need pollen, but we hope that the bright colours will attract PEOPLE to the back field to play and have fun. 
I really like the way the children have chosen a contrasting colour as the centre of their flower.  
Well done, team. A wonderful end to a great project!  
We will post our instructions for creating these flowers soon. We are learning how to construct a procedural text and are using the flower project to help guide our learning.
